All suppliers that are registered as pre-qualified suppliers in connvenio are already verified by Achilles and comply with the requirements set up by the participating transportation companies. Nevertheless, each transportation company naturally is in need of further detailed information to assign or qualify suppliers. But acquiring this information does not require any big effort.
Simply create additional questionnaires
In order to acquire additional information, our clients use eQual – a component of connvenio. Our customers use it to register/maintain additional questions online and create additional questionnaires. The buyers can not only view the status of the incoming answers of the suppliers but also evaluate the suppliers’ answers. How does that work? It’s simple.
Each utility can create folders that contain different questions. Due to the fact that eQual is in the dedicated area of connvenio the folders and questions are only accessible for the buyers of the transportation companies. Using connvenio’s search for suppliers the buyer selects those suppliers that have to provide more detailed information. The buyer can create the additional questionnaire individually – either by using an existing additional questionnaire or by applying new questions. Once the additional questionnaire is created the buyer writes an Email informing the suppliers about the purpose of the additional questionnaire. The buyer also sets a deadline for submitting the additional questionnaire. Once everything is done, the buyer submits the additional questionnaire along with the Email to the selected suppliers. Then, each supplier can log-in to the additional questionnaire – the supplier completes it online and also submits it online.
eQual does not only show the buyer to how many suppliers he has sent the additional questionnaire but also which supplier has already answered. Once the supplier submitted the additional questionnaire the buyer is able to evaluate the answers online: qualified (the supplier complies with the additional requirements) or not qualified (the supplier does not comply with the requirements) whereby the supplier can be requested to correct his information.
