Who is Achilles and what is Achilles doing?

The company was created in 1990 in Norway and today, has offices all over the world. Our headquarters are in Abingdon, in the United Kingdom.

Who are customers of the Achilles Group?

What does “pre-qualification” mean?
On behalf of the transportation companies in Germany, Eastern and Central Europe we verify every single supplier – regardless of a tender. The verification / pre-qualification is based on certain criteria (also known as pre-qualification criteria) that the transportation companies set up and that are included in the online questionnaire.
The result: Each supplier that completes the online questionnaire and complies with the pre-qualification criteria gets the status “pre-qualified” in connvenio.

Which companies can register with connvenio?
The transportation companies ask their present suppliers, as well as new suppliers, to register with connvenio in order to find out whether they meet the minimum requirements. This means that only companies that are invited by their (potential) clients can register with connvenio. If you did not receive an invitation from a transportation company, then please contact us. What is connvenio?
connvenio is an online supplier information system. Transportation companies use it
- to find suppliers that can supply them with certain products and/or services (creation of supplier lists)
- to administrate all internal information concerning their suppliers
- to maintain further data and information about their suppliers
To sum it up: connvenio is THE online supplier information system in which all suppliers and respective information can be stored and administrated.

Who can use connvenio?
connvenio is designed for transportation companies located in Germany, East- and Central-Europe and for their suppliers.

What about the EU procurement legislation?
Especially the transportation companies in EU member states are subject to strict EU procurement principles. Therefore, we have designed connvenio in accordance with EU procurement legislation. This means that the transportation companies can use connvenio as a qualification system. The pre-qualification criteria as well as the selection of suppliers are always in line with the EU procurement regulations – fair, open, transparent and not discriminative.

When do I get the log-in details?
Achilles (connvenio Team) provides you with your log-in details by Email. With your log-in details you get access to the supplier questionnaire.

How much time do I have to complete the questionnaire?
Once we have sent you the log-in details, you have four weeks to return the completed questionnaire and the additional documents. We automatically remind you of your deadline.

What happens if I cannot meet the deadline?
You are automatically reminded of your deadline. Once we have received your material (completed questionnaire and additional documents) and the payment of the fee*, we start with the verification – as long as we have not received your material and payment in order to start with the verification, your status is “registered” in connvenio. The possibility to keep the status “pre-qualified” for a longer time period depends on when we have received all material and if all requirements are fulfilled, that is a successful pre-qualification.

Can I update my supplier profile?
Yes, you can update your supplier profile at any time. Please feel free to contact us.

When do I have to update my profile?
Every supplier that wants to remain “pre-qualified” has to update his profile once a year. You are automatically reminded of the update.
