Some of the principal Spanish and Portuguese companies operating in areas such as electricity, gas, oil, water and shipbuilding, with the objective of having a registration tool to register effectively their suppliers and vendors, have agreed to establish a common system the Registro de Proveedores RePro. This system is open to participation from all companies operating in similar areas depending on the works; products and services demanded and is continually updated, objective, and non-discriminatory. In this common register system, Subscribers have access to a complete and updated data based on the annual presentation sent by every supplier via a simple electronic questionnaire.
RePro is a low cost system that allows companies in the electricity; gas, oil, water and shipbuilding sector the registration of their suppliers in a structured, uniform and effective way. It has been designed to improve the information that companies have of their suppliers, avoiding the necessity to increase administrative tasks, or manpower.
In addition, RePro allows Subscribers to comply with the Directives of Procurement Proceedings established in Directive 93/38.
