Achilles Joint Qualification System is a unique collaboration between Norwegian and Danish oil and gas operators and management contractors. The participating organisations use the system to provide information and to select suppliers and contractors when buying goods and services. Those buyers not subject to the EC procurement directives are actively using the system as a joint vendor database.
The mission of Achilles JQS is to provide comprehensive pre-qualification information on current & potential suppliers by forming an industry-wide solution to the Danish and Norwegian oil industry.
The Achilles Joint Qualification System has been in operation since 1991 and is now used by virtually all Norwegian and Danish oil and gas operators and all leading management contractors active in this region.
The aim of the Achilles JQS service is simple - to provide a single focus point for the collection and sharing of supplier pre-qualification information, reducing costs, time and administrative workload whilst increasing opportunities to both suppliers and oil and gas operators and management contractors.
Subscription to Achilles Joint Qualification System enables your business to source in compliance with national statutory requirements as well as your own individual business requirements for any type of purchase ranging from one-off purchases to contract and framework agreements, from simple goods and engineered products through to support services and major EPC type contracts. Oil and gas operators using the Achilles Joint Qualification System are able to operate the Achilles JQS as Qualification System under article 30 of the EU Utility directives. Removing the requirement of these operators to publish individual "Calls for Competition" in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
