Performance feedback is an industry standard tool available to purchasers and suppliers wishing to carry out a performance assessment during or following a piece of work. There are two main types of assessment. Supplier Performance and Purchaser Performance. The supplier’s performance is scored on up to 15 elements with the quantified results expressed as a company based graphic profile. Profiles can be analysed by product, service line, size of job and time. Feedback Reports should be completed at intervals agreed between the two parties and over time the reports, which are input into a supplier’s registration, display graphically an objective assessment of the levels of performance achieved across the range of elements. Performance Feedback forms a key part of the Supply Chain Code of Practice.
How does it work?
- Performance feedback reporting is completed manually through paper or electronic reports
- Both Purchasers and Suppliers should agree on the level of performance acheived and use the guidance templates provided as required
- Signed and agreed reports are returned to FPAL for Data Input
- Feedback is aggregated and displayed as a performance profile graph
- Feedback is valid for a maximum of 5 years
- Performance Feedback is NOT a test resulting in a pass or fail. The profiles are designed to represent a company's overall performance and to allow either party to mutually agree a standard of historical performance
