To run and maintain your own supplier system means hard work and high costs. TransQ is an online prequalification service which offers the Nordic transport organisations the possibility to share detailed information about their suppliers. Achilles validates, prequalifies and monitors the existing suppliers in the system. In that way the procurement professionals know they are working with validated, accurate and quality data, which provides a sound foundation from which to work.
The information in TransQ is used by buyers to source and select suppliers for purchase of goods, services and contracts. TransQ comprise information of what the supplier can deliver, important information about environment, safety and quality. To secure the financial information TransQ work closely with the Swedish Skatteverket (tax agency) and Dun & Bradstreet.
TransQ was founded in 1998 and is developed in accordance with EU legislation. This means that TransQ can be used as a prequalification system. Organisations which are not comprised by the EU directives use TransQ as a common supplier list.
The most important tool of this community is the steering group, which consists of one representative of each utility and one representative of Achilles. The group meets continuously to discuss and agree on requirements for qualification, the development of the category system, the online questionnaire and so on.
