Introduction
e-Qual has been designed to eliminate duplication in the qualification process and smooth your tendering process. It allows buyers to ask you questions that are specific to the contract they wish to award, building on the knowledge already gained from the answers you have provided in your Achilles questionnaire.
Buyers will log on to the Achilles portal to set up an e-Qual for a contract. Firstly, they will select a shortlist of suppliers through carrying out a search based on criteria in the Achilles supplier questionnaire. They will then provide basic details of the nature of the contract as well as contact details, before developing a number of questions that are specific to the contract.
Suppliers on this shortlist will receive an email requesting them to log on to the Achilles portal and answer the questions, should they wish to bid for the contract. Please note that you are under no obligation to answer the questions should you decide that you do not wish to be considered for the contract.
Once you have completed the questions that you wish to answer, simply submit your answers online through the Achilles portal back to the buyer. The buyers will then assess your responses and, if satisfactory, you will be added to their qualified supplier shortlist.
