EC services

EC services team

Achilles has a team dedicated to EC services:

Glenn Fletcher, head of EC Service at Achilles. Glenn has a background in utilities procurement and in Government.  He works closely with the public sector and with international authorities including the European Commission. Glenn provides in-house EC training and consultancy to major clients and THEMiS users. Glenn also delivers some of Achilles EC open courses.

Steve Kay, Senior EC Advisor and Trainer. Steve has a background within public sector purchasing for some 20 years.  Steve delivers Achilles EC open courses and advises THEMiS users and other external clients on EC procurement legislation issues.

Gail Wilson, EC Service Manager. Gail works closely with Glenn Fletcher in the project management of Achilles EC procurement system THEMiS. Gail delivers THEMiS training and advises on common issues and advice on completing notices to THEMiS clients.

Jayne Wellman, EC Administrator. Jayne works closely with Joe Gold offering assistance to Achilles EC clients. Jayne supports the EC team.

Professor Sue Arrowsmith, Professor of Public Procurement Law, and Director of the Public Procurement Research Group at the School of Law at Nottingham. Professor Arrowsmith is a regular and valued contributor to Achilles-run courses on a range of public procurement topics and  contributes to our THEMiS database and summarises the UK and ECJ court cases within the system.

Mike Davis, Senior Consultant with Achilles, formally of OGC Policy team. Mike is acknowledged as an expert on EU public procurement. He contributes to Achilles EC courses and conferences and is a contributor to THEMiS.
