Qualifying a business to an entire industry sector, or even a specific potential client, can be a resource consuming activity that can often be associated with significant indirect costs as a result of needing to complete many different qualification documents.
Link-up provides a single common qualification process for suppliers that is shared by Network Rail and over 100 rail organisations including infrastructure contractors, underground infrastructure companies, construction companies and all major train and freight operators. Read more... |
In 2000, Achilles launched the Link-up Audit (previously known as Proof) scheme, which took Link-up a stage further by providing a common auditing process for suppliers of products and services which relate to works undertaken on the railway infrastructure.
Both schemes have been updated as part of the new Link-up v.2 process and allow suppliers to go through a single qualification and audit process that has been designed and agreed by multiple rail organisations, whilst ensuring that suppliers are treated in a fair and consistent manner according to the products and services that they wish to supply.
To date more than 3000 suppliers and contractors are registered on the Link-up scheme, and over 1500 of these are also participating in the Link-up Audit scheme.
