The Utilities Vendor Database (UVDB) pre-qualifies suppliers and contractors under various headings. There are over 900 standard codes and 2500 standard keywords used and controlled by the Utilities.
Once you have decided to implement the UVDB as a supplier information system, Achilles will issue a company wide license, and arrange for access to the system.
This will then enable as many people within your organisation to access the UVDB and utilise the system for identifying potential suppliers and managing information on your existing suppliers.
Achilles are able to provide training on the UVDB Service and operation of a Qualification System within EU Procurement Legislation.
When you have a requirement for a contract or other purchase, the UVDB allows you to search for potential suppliers or contractors in a fair and consistent manner, by applying objective criteria against the information registered by each supplier.
Part of being a buyer member will enable you to use our Premium Service option, which offers specific supplier on-boarding and ensures that when you are preparing for a search, it will return all those suppliers you would expect to see under the specific Product Code or Glossary term.
